2010 Calendars – Energy Conservation
Everything we do each day of our life effects our life and the world we share with others. It may seem like it takes a lot of effort to go green but most of us can accomplish these simple changes without any major cost or disruption to our standard style of living. In fact if you get other family members to be involved in your crusade it can bring great satisfaction to your whole family that they are helping in reducing the world’s carbon footprint.
Here are some steps that can reduce the world’s carbon footprint in your home:
- Have a energy audit done on your home, which is free in some cases by your utility company.
- Clean or replace your air filter on your furnace or air conditioning unit each month.
- Change your light bulbs to CFL or LED to reduce energy consumption.
- Only use dishwasher when it is fully loaded.
- Wash clothing in cold water.
- Wrap your water heater with a insulated jacket and check the setting lower to 120 degrees.
- Use low-flow showerheads.
- Caulk and weatherstrip your windows and doors.
- Leave the car at home and take commuter transportation.
- Carpool with other families when taking children to school.
The name of the game for homes today is energy conservation and the next thing you would need are devices or gadgets that can help you monitor your power consumption. For that requirement, here are two devices worth considering.

Healthy water to consume has become an issue most of the time and normally, we would either buy bottled water (which contribute to plastic waste issues) or filtration systems that often carry the question of dependability. Like air, water is a hard thing to quantify.
